Kasa Future Voices Youth Fellowship

Kasa Future Voices is a youth fellowship focused on communication, storytelling, media, confidence, leadership, civic voice, and youth expression. Young people learn to document impact, tell community stories with dignity, and use their voice to lead change.

The Kasa Future Voices Fellowship is a 12-week online youth media and storytelling fellowship delivered through Kasa Learning Academy. Fellows build skills in ethical storytelling, photography, videography, interviewing, mobile journalism, social media storytelling, and portfolio development. Where local partner support is available, selected fellows may also participate in optional field-based storytelling or community reporting activities.

Kasa Future Voices Fellowship — Cohort 1

A 12-week online fellowship delivered through Kasa Learning Academy. Build communication, storytelling, media, confidence, leadership, and youth voice skills through hands-on assignments, mentorship, and a portfolio of your work.

Audience: Open to youth (16–21) from any eligible location

Optional field-based activities may be offered later to selected fellows where local partner support, safeguarding, and Kasa capacity allow. Everyone starts with the same online fellowship.

Fellows are mentored by working communicators, follow Kasa’s ethical storytelling and safeguarding standards, and are given real opportunities to document community work and speak on behalf of the causes they care about.

What is Kasa Future Voices?

Kasa Future Voices is a youth fellowship focused on communication, storytelling, media, confidence, leadership, and youth voice. It equips young people to document impact and lead change in their communities.

Young people aged 16–21 who are interested in communication, storytelling, media, leadership, or community impact. Applicants can come from any eligible location.

Ethical storytelling, photography, videography, mobile journalism, interviewing, social media storytelling, writing, Canva, CapCut, event coverage, portfolio development, plus leadership and confidence building.

The fellowship is 12 weeks and is delivered online through Kasa Learning Academy, with practical assignments fellows can complete in their own community.

The core fellowship is fully online. Where local partner support, safeguarding and Kasa capacity allow, selected fellows may be invited to optional field-based storytelling or community reporting activities. Your interest in field-based activities is captured in the application form (Yes / Maybe / No).

No. The fellowship is designed to train young people step by step. Curiosity and commitment matter more than prior experience.
